AFROTC is designed to balance academic education, military training, and leadership development. It is divided into:

Focuses on Air Force history, leadership principles, national security, and military ethics.

It is taken alongside a student’s regular college coursework every semester. The class meets once a week for 50 minutes and is worth 1 credit hour.

Focuses on improving endurance, strength, and teamwork through exercises like running, calisthenics, and team sports.

Happens twice a week, from 6am – 7am.

Focuses on developing leadership skills and teaching cadets everything they need to know before going to Field Training (FT).

Activities include drill and ceremonies, team-building exercises, and leadership evaluations. Happens once a week and is 2 hours long.
